Be A Superhero at DC Super Heroes Cafe

If you are into superheroes (or not), a visit to DC Heroes Cafe at SM Mega Fashion Hall will definitely bring out the kid in you. I know most of us are familiar with Superman and Batman and the rest of the superheroes gang, but at DC Heroes Cafe, you get to feel like one.

The first time I've seen a DC Cafe was at the Pavilion Mall in Kuala Lumpur a few years back, and then when I went to Singapore last month. Truth be told, I grew up watching Superman (Christopher Reeve, haha don't count my age lah!) and then fell in-love with The Penguin a.k.a. Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot (apologies to Batman). So anyway, I was quite excited to dine at DC Super Heroes Cafe in SM Mega. I mean, I also collect toys so being here is definitely a treat! Not to mention IG-worthy cafe. ;)

The food at DC Super Heroes Cafe are created to depict a particular superhero. This Chicken Fingers A La Negra (P350) is a tribute to Batman. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect when this was served to us. I was thinking- it looks like a rock! How do I eat that? Haha. But guess what, the black squid ink breading was so crunchy and with tasty chicken meat inside. It comes with a dip and slaw. Portion is good for sharing.

I forgot to ask who's the inspiration of this yummy 12 Hour Glazed Pork Belly (P480). It comes on top of a creamy mashed potato, and asparagus. If you want to more punch, I recommend adding the roast garlic. This is LOVE. Serving portion is good for one but you can share, right?

My companions and I seem to all agree that this is the most mouthwatering choice on the menu that was served to us. Deep Cacao Milk Chocolate Smoothie (P190) is not hard to fall in-love with. I mean, think chocolate, and chocolate, and chocolate. Don't worry, it's not super sweet. It comes in a tall glass but I don't recommend sharing for this. ;)

Blue Velvet Toffee Latte (P160) is a perfect choice if you love Clark Kent. Had I not tasted the chocolate drink first, then this would be my favorite. I also love that the blue cup comes with a red cape. And before I forget, did you notice the Superman stirrer and the Batman logo from the chicken fingers? You can bring that home as souvenirs so if you want to have more, then dine again at DC Super Heroes Cafe.
