Baguio Food Tour 2015 Day 3

We all had a nice sleep the night before and promised to watch the sunrise. Alas, the warm bed vs the cold early morning air is much more enticing so we all ended up dreaming of sunrise instead. Breakfast was at Tradisyon and I was feeling quite famished when I woke up so here's what I ate ...

We had a short tour of Burnham Park after breakfast and watch the fountains. Then we're off to lunch at Mother's Garden in Upper Fairview.

Dining at Mother's Garden is not complete without Mother's Garden Salad that has some edible flowers. I fell in love with this salad when we dined here last year.

After a very relaxing lunch at Mother's Garden, we're off again ... this time for some sweets at Tsokolateria in Upper Session Road. We literally had our fill of chocolates.

And because all good things must end, we all trooped back to Azalea Residences to rest and wait until 2am when its going home time for the rest of the team. But if course, we all had a slice or two of the delicious 5-cheese pizza from Grumpy Joe's. "The best pizza ever in the whole wide world." - Saki

Boracay's Hidden Gem: Mama's Fish House

I've always wanted to dine at Mama's Fish House in Boracay but wasn't able to for some forgotten reasons already. Then the pandemic happened and we're in lockdown or limited travel movement for almost two years. And guess what? One of the nicest thing to happen on our recent trip to Boracay was to discover that Mama's Fish House was located just outside the beach front of our hotel- Microtel by Wyndham Boracay . Talk about serendipity!

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!
