Special Valentine's Menu at Ilustrado

If you are looking for a place with a great romantic ambiance to celebrate Valentine's Day, you need not look further because Ilustrado is just the perfect place for it. Of course, delicious food also awaits the lovers as Ilustrado creates a special Valentine Set Menu for you and your sweetheart.


The Valentine Set Menu include an amuse bouche of Goat Cheese and Artichoke Stuffed Beef Ravioli, Mint Pesto and Walnuts followed with a choice of appetizers of Tuna and Melon Tartare, Smoked Salmon and Black Caviar Pie or Duck and Chicken Terrine.

This will be followed by a soup of Roasted Asparagus and Reggiano Chowder with Chili Oil that will surely spike up the night. A delightfully refreshing Honeydew Sorbet will be served before moving on to the main course which is a choice of Fillet of Beef, Fillet of Salmon and Halibut, or Ribs of Lamb. Of course, a meal is never complete without some dessert of Rose Panna Cotta or Chocolate Bar. A glass of red or white wine is also included in the Valentine Set.

The Valentine food choices can be ordered as a set menu or ala carte for lunch and dinner beginning February 10 to 17, 2018. Only the special set menu is available for dinner on February 13 and 14. Valentine Set Menu is P2,200+.

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!
