Breakfast and Prayers

January 16, 2013

I love unplanned breakfast dates.

C and I got lucky because her daughter has dance practice until 2pm today (no need to rush back during lunchtime). So after dropping the kids off to school, we were on our way to the south. And lucky again because there's no traffic.

This is the view that greeted us while we were waiting for our breakfast (Bag of Beans, near Tagaytay Rotonda). Such a foggy day. The air was cold but we were armed with jackets and shawls. Not-gonna-freeze-today-not-like-the-last-time!

Foggy Breakfast

Manila's been super hot lately so when C invited me for a breakfast date at Bag of Beans, I happily said yes. Luck was with with since there's no traffic on our southbound journey until we reached Sta Rosa exit. Ugh! And since we both need to be back in Manila by 12nn to fetch the kids, we decided to head back where we came from... uh oh! Luckily (again), she remembered Batino exit. So off we drove again, farther south. ....

Bag of Beans Revisited

It was really part of our Tagaytay itinerary to go to Bag of Beans, but we prefer the new branch which is just nearby. Alas, we seem to have missed it completely so we ended up in the main branch which was really far from Tagaytay proper. But luck is with us since we got to try new food that we didn't order before.

Chicken pie. I'm not really crazy when it comes to chicken and pies but this is delish! Although I admit I wouldn't order this if not for my friend. But then, I would recommended this to those who are crazy about chicken and pies. note: I prefer the Sheperd's Pie but its not available when we dined there. :(

Bag Of Beans

This is the branch that's almost in the outskirts of Tagaytay. Very easy to miss since the foliage and the shop's color suggests that there's nothing special to look at. Wrong!

Raising Loaf. Almost always sold up as soon as it hit the shelves (straight from the oven). Costs about a P100. I can finish a whole loaf by myself.

Pumpkin Pie. Because I'm trying to be healthy or I just miss my mother's pumpkin pie. Nothing extra-ordinary if you keep on thinking you're eating Cinderalla's carriage!

Now this is good... definitely GOOD! Shepherd's Pie is simply delish!!! See, I'm already running out of !!! Must-try @ Bag-0-Beans!!!

I love-love-love the shepherd's pie and cinnamon raisin bread!!!
