FOOD FINDS: Ortega's Skineless Longganisa
Hubby had a client call in Baliuag, Bulacan last week and brought this for me as well as a pack of chicharon. The chicharon didn't leave a lasting impression but this longganisa did.

My cousin just arrived from Cagayan de Oro City and she brought along a lechon. And because we are neighbors (well, almost neighbors), she gave us some lechon. I was practicing with the camera so I apologize for the not-so-nice photo. The lechon skin was not that crunchy anymore (of course!) but it was very flavorful including the meat parts. Yaya was saying we should buy Mang Tomas for the lechon but I told her that the lechon from Southern Philippines doesn't need any sarsa. And I'm right. Oh what a lovely lunch we had!
Tropicana Coco Quench. I first saw this drink from a friend's FB post a few weeks back. I was curious about it but since there's a fresh buko seller who passes by our house every day, the Tropicana drink escaped my mind ... until, I saw it in the grocery the other day. This small pack costs P29. Expensive! But nice packaging. And the verdict --- don't like. It tasted like nata de coco water. Glad that I bought only one.
Munggo with lechon bits. I love munggo. Hubby and daughter loves to eat munggo. We eat munggo almost once a week. Sometimes it has alugbati leaves, or ampalaya leaves or saluyot. Or just plain munggo then will just fry some dried fish. But since we still have some leftover lechon (there's still some in the fridge), I added it to the munggo. Wow! Tastes good.
Frabelle's Hamonado Longganisa. Frabelle is a new brand discovery in the grocery. Actually, I've read about Frabelle's hotdog on the internet and we tried it already. Its a welcome alternative to Purefoods and Swifts hotdogs. So when I saw this hamonado longganisa in the grocery, I did not hesitate to buy it. It turns out, its not the usual kind of longganisa. This one is like a sausage but tastes like longganisa. Hubby and daughter enjoyed it. I do find it delicious and flavorful also but after eating a few bites, I developed allergy. I'm guessing it has more than a fair share of msg (which I'm allergic to). Luckily, sugar is just within reach so I'm saved. But I will buy this again since hubby and daughter likes it. Must try are Frabelle's hotdog and cheese hotdog. Those I can eat every day without any allergic reaction. It has other food products also but I haven't tried them yet. Soon! :)

Breakfast Goodness At Buon Giorno
A spur-of-the-moment early morning trip to Tagaytay brought C and me to Firelake Area and we remembered Buon Giorno. Luckily, it was open for breakfast when we arrived because the other restos around the area were still closed. We weren't able to secure the daybed spot so we chose a table facing Taal Lake- breakfast al fresco!

I've been hearing about the good reviews about Angel's Kitchen for the longest time and I also know where its located but for some unknown reason, we always end up at the restaurant next door.
So one day, without any plans, my food-buddy and I ended up in this homey place. And I love the interiors!
