Another Friday(s) Night

My mommymates and I had several dinner dates at TGI Fridays (Robinsons Manila) already but what endears us to the place was the happy and sad times that we share here as friends. Our latest had a crazy mix of tear and laughter but not to worry because its not food related. As always, the food and service made us happy.

Calamares. This is a nice pair for a chikahan-filled dinner.

Chicken Fingers and Fries. Kids and the kids at heart loves this!

Ceasar Salad. Too much parmesan ... I find it salty.

Nachos. Healthy-looking nachos. Munch away while talking non-stop.

Grilled Chicken Burger. Someone's super hungry tonight. Hehe. But bless her because she shared this with us. Thumbs up!

Red Velvet Cheesecake. Now this is l-o-v-e. I want to order this again ... soon. :)

Oreo-something. Yum yum ice cream and oreo.

We also ordered Mai-Tais but I forgot to take photos. I requested mine to have less alcohol content as I need to wake up early the following day to bring my daughter to school- the joys of being a mom! ;)

This is also one of those rare occasions when the four of us are having a meal together. Oh and before I forget, having a discount card is also good especially if you frequent Fridays a lot. That means you get 20% off your total bill. Yey!

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!

Boracay's Hidden Gem: Mama's Fish House

I've always wanted to dine at Mama's Fish House in Boracay but wasn't able to for some forgotten reasons already. Then the pandemic happened and we're in lockdown or limited travel movement for almost two years. And guess what? One of the nicest thing to happen on our recent trip to Boracay was to discover that Mama's Fish House was located just outside the beach front of our hotel- Microtel by Wyndham Boracay . Talk about serendipity!

NEW RESTO ALERT: Saigosan in Uptown Mall

Konnichiwa Saigosan! A new and funky izakaya recently opened at Uptown Mall headed by Chef Chris Oronce. This izakaya not only serves delectable dishes but is also a visual-feast. Inspired by animes, mangas, and JPop culture, Saigosan even has a train wherein you can hop from Kyoto to Osaka without a JR Pass!
