RECIPE: Salad Greens

We love midnight snacks but because there's also the effort to eat healthily, I opt to prepare this green salad last night from what's inside the fridge. Besides, Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day are just around the corner so we need to diet a bit. ;)

Ingredients:

2-3 heads of lettuce (I used romaine lettuce)
3-4 gherkins or Japanese cucumbers
half red onion
1 cup whole corn kernels
cheese, cut into small slices (I used mild cheddar)
2-3 boiled eggs
Clara Ole Dips N Dressing, Ranch
Clara Ole Vinaigrette, Sesame Mucho

Simply toss everything in a bowl (except the dressing & vinaigrette). Hubby and I had the Sesame Mucho Vinaigrette. So good! Daughter had the Ranch. Bon appetit!

Nanyang: A Kopi Tiam in High Street

Kopi tiam is a traditional coffeeshop that is popular in Singapore. Aside from breakfast, kopi tiam or kopitams is also a popular place for lunch and snacks because of it serves Singaporean comfort food favorites such as laksa and nasi lemak. Of course, a kopi tiam won't be complete without coffee and kaya toast pairing.

Nanyang opened in Bonifacio High Street to satisfy that craving for authentic Singaporean noms even without a plane ticket.
