Melo's Restaurant is synonymous when it comes to best Certified Angus Beef Steaks and I'm quite surprised that they also own Carmelo's. Actually, Melo is in fact, Carmelo Santiago, the founder of the restaurant with the best quality steak in town. I'm sure all of you know Melo's and House of Wagyu Stone Grill.
Stuffed Portabello Mushrooms. It has shrimps and crab and is generously topped with parmesan cheese. Really good and flavorful.
Oyster Rockefeller. Plump and juicy oysters topped with cheese and bacon bits. Yum!
Fresh Oysters. Fresh oysters with cocktail sauce. This is best paired with a glass of wine. Perfect appetizer when on a date! ;)
Foie Gras with caramelized apples. This is my fave amongst the appetizers. The foie gras has a buttery soft texture and tastes heavenly. The caramelized apples gives it an added flavor that wakes up the senses after having a bite of foie gras. The portions are huge too, I mean, compared with those in hotel buffets. ;)
Caprioska. This is a cocktail mixture of vodka, lychee and grapes. What I like about this drink is that its fruity and sweet. You really can't detect that taste of vodka but you know its there so drink moderately.
Caesar Salad. Crisp greens on a plate is quite refreshing to the eyes.
Pumpkin Soup. So smooth and delicious. Very filling and I just love it with the bread roll. Did I mention that the breads at Carmelo's are just as good also?
Wagyu Striploin. Mouthwatering Wagyu steak cooked medium rare. Although I usually prefer medium well when it comes to eating my steak, I can't help but enjoy the flavor and juiciness of the meat within. I had some gravy for added flavor but its good as it is.
Wagyu Ribeye
Wagyu TBone
Lamb Chops. Cooked to perfection. Did you know that if meat spent too much time in the grill it becomes hard to chew and lose its natural juices?
Chilean Seabass.
That's us before the main course- all smiles as we enjoy the appetizers in front of us. Bon appetit!
