RECIPE: TKG's 30-Minute Shrimp Delight

The kids are back to school once again and most moms needs to be creative when it comes to preparing healthy and delicious "pambaon" meals for our kids. Easy and quick-cooking meals are also favored by most moms who wake up early to prepare not only their kids "baon" but prepare their kids for school as well.

So here's a recipe that I created for my daughter's lunch.

Ingredients

1/4 kilo peeled shrimps
1 zucchini, cubed
1 small broccoli
1/2 can whole corn
1 medium carrot, cubed
1 Clara Ole Bechamel Sauce
4 tbsp Cheeze Whiz
ground pepper
water

Procedure

Boil vegetables until al dente. Transfer in a pan and add Clara Ole sauce, shrimps, cheeze whiz and ground pepper. Add some water so as not to burn the sauce; stir until cooked. Serves 4.

*** it can be paired with pasta or rice

RECIPE: TKG's Pan-Grilled Maya-Maya With Calamansi Butter Sauce

I chanced upon some fresh-looking Maya-Maya being sold near my daughter's school today so I bought some. I don't really have a dish in mind when I bought it. Maybe fried, sinigang ... And upon checking the fridge and pantry (no more olive oil), I decided to marinate the fish in calamansi to remove the fishy taste. I pan-grilled the fish being careful not to burn it. Then I minced some garlic, cooked it in butter, added some salt and poured the sauce on top of the fish. And its ready to eat. And oh, I also steamed some cauliflower as a side-dish. Bon appetit!
