Cooking with Pacific Sunrise Flavored Oil

I just recently discovered Pacific Sunrise Flavored Oils and I find it very convenient to use. No need to "timpla' and it also enhances the flavor for what I'm cooking.

RECIPE: TKG's Japanese-inspired Pancakes

I do love cooking especially if it involves preparing delicious meals for my family. I also love replicating food and dishes from my travels or any request from my family as long as I think I can make it.

So here's my own version of Japanese-inspired pancakes because my daughter LOVES pancakes. This is very easy to prepare also.

RECIPE: TKG's Charlie Chan-Inspired Pasta

We usually eat pasta at least once in a fornight and I love that I can make simple sauces with whatever ingredients we have at home. I also love the fact that you can whip up a pasta in around 30 minutes.

Sharing here my Charlie Chan-inspired pasta.

RECIPE: TKG's Wagyu Pasta with Clara Ole Sauce

We regularly cook pasta at home because it is so easy to prepare, and falls under the 30 minutes recipe / cooking time. Pasta itself is an all-around dish that you can mix and match with almost any ingredients- from meat to seafood, veggies, even fruits!

RECIPE: TKG's Brownie Balls with Cointreau Infused Cranberries

We may still be quarantined inside our homes but that doesn't mean we have to let go of our love for food. And if there's something positive that happened in our new normal, I'd say that most people (including me) have discovered the simple joys of spending more time in the kitchen.

Here's my take on a classic brownie recipe made special with Cointreau.

RECIPE: TKG's Herbed Chicken with Pan-Roasted Baby Potatoes

Sharing my 30-minute chicken recipe. This is perfect for those who are busy but abhors the idea of buying take-out food or ordering food.

You can marinate the chicken in the morning before you leave for work (or simply an hour before), and then just leave it inside the fridge until you are ready to cook it.

Healthy Cooking with Cherry II Cookware

Women nowadays are not only career driven but are also keen when it comes to having a healthy lifestyle and having a good diet. And that's why they are in charge of the kitchen. Eating healthy food as well as preparing the food themselves is preferred even if they've just come from the workplace.

Here's a beloved Filipino dish that is both healthy and is a great comfort food (dish), not to mention easy to prepare- the sinigang na baboy.

RECIPE: TKG's Chocolate Cheesecake

I've been meaning to make cheesecake a few weeks back but daughter had a sudden fascination with cream cheese and crackers so we always ran out of cream cheese. Luckily, I had this crazy moment in the kitchen. I'm now sharing my easy to make chocolate cheesecake recipe.

RECIPE: TKG's 30-Minute Pasta

Here's an easy-to-prepare pasta recipe that I usually cook whenever we crave for it but doesn't really have the time (and the ingredients) to prepare a gourmet pasta dish. I usually use whatever ingredients I can find inside the fridge and pantry. I do however, always have a pack of pasta sauce and pasta in the pantry for emergency cravings.

RECIPE: Chicken Longganisa Mozzarella

The 6th Samsung Digital Appliances Cooking Workshop highlighted Italian Dishes with a Filipino Twist. Chef Ernest Gala or GalaStars Culinary School shared his easy to prepare recipes using the Samsung Smart Oven.

RECIPE: Romaine Salad with Cranberries, Nuts & Pesto Vinaigrette by The Sexy Chef

Here's another interestingly "green" recipe that I learned from The Sexy Chef.

RECIPE: Detox Green Smoothie by The Sexy Chef

This is a surprisingly good (and green) smoothie made by Chef Barni and Ms. Rachel Alejandro during the Wellness Cooking Demo at the Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Magnolia.

I was having doubts when I saw Chef Barni added kangkong leaves but a foodie is a foodie so I had a sip, and another sip ... until I asked for another glass. No kidding.

RECIPE: TKG's Pritong Manok

This is a super easy to make recipe. All you need is half kilo of chicken (cut into small pieces for easy frying), Datu Puti's Toyomansi, and lemon (optional).

RECIPE: TKG's Pajeon

Watching tons of kdramas can really make you crave and enjoy Korean dishes and my home is not an exemption. And I love replicating dishes so here's my version of pajeon. By the way, pajeon is akin to Japanese okonomiyaki. Checking online, "pa" refers to spring onions, while "jeon" is pancake (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pajeon). This is so very easy to make and great as snack.

RECIPE: Pasta Negra and Chicken & Chorizo Summer Cream Tomato Pasta

Food Magazine, the Lifestyle Network, and Project Pie recently hosted the first Food Tastings event for 2015 and highlighted pasta and pizza. Chef Portia Baluyot and Chef Nancy Edralin graciously shared their pasta recipes- Pasta Negra and Chicken & Chorizo Summer Cream Tomato Pasta.

RECIPE: TKG's Blue Marlin in Cilantro Salsa

Because its almost Holy Week and fish dishes are nom derigueur, I am sharing a simple and easy-to-cook but super healthy dish. For this recipe, I chose Blue Marlin but you can use any other fish.

RECIPE: Crepe Nut Roll Ups by The Maya Kitchen

So its summer and the kids are keeping you busy at home. Here's a simple recipe that you and your child can do together, thanks to The Maya Kitchen. This delicious crepe is a great energy snack for you and your kid.

RECIPE: TKG's Chicken Medley

Sometimes, I do get creative in the kitchen especially if there are leftovers. In this case, we still have about half fried chicken from Original Savory (we usually order here whenever we wanted a quick fried chicken fix). So I checked the pantry and found some cans of Jolly Whole Mushrooms, Jolly Whole Corn Kernels, and Jolly Cream of Mushroom, and turnip slices in the fridge. Lucky!

RECIPE: TKG's Chicken Sibut

Chicken Sibut is a chicken dish cooked in spices for a long period of time until the meat absorbs the flavor and becomes so tender that it falls off the bone. It is also a Chinese medicinal dish that is not only nourishing but promotes good health as well. Traditionally, I think this is better cooked in a claypot. Below is an easy to follow recipe that I made recently.
