TKG's 10 Restaurant Choices To Celebrate Father's Day

Its almost Father's Day and if you still haven't made a reservation on where to treat your Dad for lunch or dinner, read my list of 10 restaurant recommendations.

1. Perfect Pint - Literally perfect if you are already allowed to drink. Enjoy a mug, or two with your Dad from different local and imported craft beers. The restaurant also serves delicious pizza- no kidding.

2. Calderon - Feast on sumptuous Paella Negra and wash it down with Sangria. The ambiance is also perfect for bonding with Dad.

3. 100 Revolving Restaurant - Aside from being the "only" revolving restaurant with a view of Metro Manila, the restaurant also has buffet lunch every Sunday.

5. CHOPS: Chicago Steakhouse - Treat your Dad to a pound (or two) of steak. CHOPS also serves the best Truffled Mac & Cheese.

6. Sentro 1771 - If your Dad loves Kare-kare or Crispy Pata, then this is the restaurant for him. Also, you might want to order the Sinigang the Corned Beef.

7. Korean Palace - Grill some meat for your Dad and pair with with Galbi Tang.

8. Peking Garden - Since its Father's Day, why not surprise your Dad with some Peking Duck love? Yummy!

9. Nanbantei of Tokyo - A Japanese restaurant that popularized yakitori.

10. Vikings - Who doesn't love buffets? So many dishes to choose from- Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Continental .. and wait, there's also the carving section and delectable desserts.

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!

NEW RESTO ALERT: Hà Nội Phố (Ha Noi Pho)

Makati has been a go-to place for my family and I to grab a meal or sometimes just to have a cup of coffee. Though, really, it’s mostly just us visiting our favorite spots. Recently, my mom went out of town so it was just my dad and I who went out for dinner.
