NEW RESTO ALERT: Blue Posts Boiling Crabs & Shrimps

Blue Posts Boiling Crabs & Shrimps gives you that Bay Area vibe of feasting on crabs and shrimps that's popular for get-togethers or celebrations or simply indulging on your favorite shellfish. This newly opened restaurant at SM Mall of Asia is perfectly situated facing Manila Bay so one can really experience that Bay Area vibe.

The interiors are also comfy and relaxing and can seat about 70 pax. Of course, having some "life savers," paddles, nets, and bright colors completes that Bay Area ambiance.

Pomelo Salad with Corn. A yummy twist to pomelo salad. This is not an appetizer though but a dessert. No kidding! What I like about it is that the sweet-sour pomelo tastes good with cream. Bet you didn't know that, I didn't too until I tasted it. The peanuts though brings you back to reality that it is a pomelo salad. Do try it when you visit the resto and you'll know what I mean. ;)

Shrimps in Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce. Very refreshing and light on the tummy. It is also very flavorful and doesn't have that cloying butter taste. The shrimps and juicy which indicates that it is fresh.

Crab & Shrimps in Salted Egg. I was quite happy with the Shrimps in Lemon Butter Sauce BUT this Crab & Shrimps in Salted Egg is simply amazingly good. I love the fact that the restaurant didn't use salted egg powder but "real" salted egg. In fact, you can even see (and chew) on salted egg bits. We were told that this is a newly introduced dish on the menu. Yumm- eehhh!!! Avoid ordering this if you are on a diet though because you will surely crave for extra rice. ;)

Aside from the newly opened branch in SM Mall of Asia, it also has a branch in SM North EDSA and in SM Davao.

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!

Boracay's Hidden Gem: Mama's Fish House

I've always wanted to dine at Mama's Fish House in Boracay but wasn't able to for some forgotten reasons already. Then the pandemic happened and we're in lockdown or limited travel movement for almost two years. And guess what? One of the nicest thing to happen on our recent trip to Boracay was to discover that Mama's Fish House was located just outside the beach front of our hotel- Microtel by Wyndham Boracay . Talk about serendipity!

NEW RESTO ALERT: Saigosan in Uptown Mall

Konnichiwa Saigosan! A new and funky izakaya recently opened at Uptown Mall headed by Chef Chris Oronce. This izakaya not only serves delectable dishes but is also a visual-feast. Inspired by animes, mangas, and JPop culture, Saigosan even has a train wherein you can hop from Kyoto to Osaka without a JR Pass!
