Another Day in Paradise Dynasty

Paradise Dynasty has been a family favorite since it opened its doors at S Maison Conrad in Pasay City. Although the location is far from us, the restaurant was always the first one that comes to mind when we go malling in the area. Now, it has opened branches in Podium Mall and SM Aura Premiere.

I've always been partial to the Chicken Szechuan and Radish Puff but this year, I promised to change my favorites and order other dishes from the menu.

Here are my new discoveries:

Breaded Pork. This is super good especially if you pair it with fried rice. Good for sharing portion.

Another favorite discovery is this Noodle with Mushrooms. Broth tastes very rich. Serving size is also perfect for sharing.

Haha, I know we are not supposed to order our favorites and choose something different from the menu but my daughter can't help herself when it comes to the Cheese Xiao Long Bao and the Original Xiao Long Bao which my hubby loves.

Here's my current fave xiao long bao though --- the Chili Crab Xiao Long Bao. That special xiao long bao is only available at SM Aura Premiere for a limited time so better schedule a lunch or a dinner date there soon.

NEW RESTO ALERT: Saigosan in Uptown Mall

Konnichiwa Saigosan! A new and funky izakaya recently opened at Uptown Mall headed by Chef Chris Oronce. This izakaya not only serves delectable dishes but is also a visual-feast. Inspired by animes, mangas, and JPop culture, Saigosan even has a train wherein you can hop from Kyoto to Osaka without a JR Pass!

NEW RESTO ALERT: Hà Nội Phố (Ha Noi Pho)

Makati has been a go-to place for my family and I to grab a meal or sometimes just to have a cup of coffee. Though, really, it’s mostly just us visiting our favorite spots. Recently, my mom went out of town so it was just my dad and I who went out for dinner.

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!
