Special Dinner at SUGI Japanese Restaurant

My family and I used to dine at the old SUGI spot in Greenbelt 2 years ago and every time there was memorable. Fast forward to their new location at Palm Promenade just across Glorietta 2 in Makati City and this time around, we're celebrating a milestone and this is a special dinner courtesy of my daughter. Yey!

For starters, we got the takoyaki, which was a monthly special. I haven't had takoyaki for more than a year now because the last one I ate was so good, I don't think there's one to top that until we saw 'takoyaki' on the menu. Glad that we ordered it because ... no need to go to Japan for that amazingly-good takoyaki-cravings!

The photo doesn't really look appetizing but it is. It's a myriad of flavors and textures. Must-try at SUGI.

Then we had teppan wagyu with enoki. Super love the wagyu which was very tender and flavorful.

We also had cold soba, which was my current favorite whenever we dine at a Japanese restaurant.

Of course, hubby also had his favorite saba set. Anything 'fish' makes his tummy happy.

We also had some maki for sharing. Forgot what it was, but its good. And a celebration is not complete without a glass (or three!) of ume souchu.

We skipped dessert at SUGI and opted to walk to Tsujiri in Greenbelt where we had matcha and houjicha. Itadakimasu!
