Araneta City is fast becoming a food-hub in the heart of Quezon City especially with the opening of Gateway 2 Mall. It has an interesting mix of old-favorites and popular restaurants that you only find in Makati City.
A Mano is one such resto and happy to report that my high school chums enjoyed our merienda there a couple of weeks ago.
My family love A Mano, so when we were planning our get-together, I suggested we meet there for coffee. And we did order coffee, among others.
Upon the suggestion of the staff, we got Pizza with Raspadura Ribbons, Garganelli Bianco and Lasagna Verde. Then there's the Cappuccinos, Americanos and Marocchino.
The Garganelli Bianco was a clear winner because we ordered another serving of this delicious pasta. It has truffle sauce and jamon. Can't go wrong with that combination! I usually shy-away from truffle sauce (so many restos using truffle flavorings!) but of course, there's no doubt that A Mano will only use the best ingredients. Thumbs up!
Then there 's Pizza with Raspadura Ribbons. It's a basic pizza (with just tomato purée) then then generously topped with Raspadura cheese ribbons. This is kinda experiential because they will prepare the pizza and cheese ribbons in front of you before serving. Pizza's okay but next time we're getting the usuals.
As for the Lasagna Verde, it looks like bibingka! Haha, no offense meant to A Mano but that's what we all thought when it was brought to our table. It's quite good, actually but we were all enamored with Garganelli Bianco.
Everything was delish, even the coffee!
