We celebrated our 25th anniversary by going on a family trip to Hong Kong, our first in the island!
First stop was at Godiva Cafe in HKIA while waiting for our daughter's flight to arrive since she wasn't able to join us on our earlier flight. I can't resist Godiva's chocolate muffin and a glass of iced raspberry lemonade. Of course, you can't go to Godiva without getting some truffles. Hubby preferred to eat a more savory dish somewhere in the airport. My daughter's flight arrived an hour after us but she already have dinner plans with a friend and they ate at Tsui Wah at the airport also.
I enjoyed my stay in Aberdeen during my previous trip that I booked South Nest Hotel again. I have fallen in-love the the neighborhood there. For lunch the following day, we at Braised Beef with Raddish Lunch Set and Squid & Veggies Lunch Set. We got HK Milk Tea for our drinks. This is at the popular Pak Lei Sin Delicious Food along the main road.
After a quick siesta, we decided to ride the boat to TST. Of course, a trip to TST is not complete without shopping and a Roast Goose Meal Seat (yes, with HK Milk Tea again) from Guijing Roast Goose. OMG! I do love roast goose when in HK! I mean, I haven't encountered a roast goose meal there that I didn't like.
For coffee and dessert, our daughter suggested Tiffany Blue Box Cafe (pop-up) at the Tiffany Store along Peking Road. We had Iced Mocha (and hot) and a Cappuccino. We also had French Toast with Banana. This is a special treat from daughter for our anniversary. How sweet!
Another reason why I love Aberdeen is because it is just a short and scenic bus-ride to Stanley. But before going to Stanley, we brought take-away food from the newly opened canteen along Ka Wo Street in Aberdeen near the hotel. Generous serving portion also.
We had tons of fun taking pics in Stanley before going to Causeway Bay for more window-shopping. Hahaha. Daughter had dinner plans with another friend based in HK, they ate at Yao Kee in TST. Hubby and I decided a light dinner somewhere in CWB. We had noodle soup with beef balls and a beef and radish meal.
We're checking-out from our hotel in Aberdeen the next day and moving to Best Western in CWB but prior to that, we had breakfast at Maxim's MX. Nothing fancy though, just toasted bread, soup, sausages and coffee. Moving on to our favorite neighborhood in CWB, we had coffee and egg tarts at Bakehouse after checking the shops. For dinner, hubby and I craved for Vietnamese food at Huong Vietnamese Cuisine.
Had a short trip to Central HK the following day because hubby visited a client. I had Iced Mocha at Blue Bottle while waiting for him. For lunch, we ate at Man Man Canteen where we enjoyed our beef and fish bowl set with iced tea. We skipped snacks because we're having dinner with friends at Jasmine's in Windsor House. Yum!
Klook.comWe're scheduled to fly back to Manila around noon the next day. We ate brunch at Tsui Wah in HKIA. I got char shui pork with egg meal and hubby had the lamb curry meal. Bought coffee and milk tea at King Bakery near our boarding gate.
