We haven't been to Hong Kong for more than five years we're excited to try new cafes aside from the usual Starbucks and Pacific Coffee.
Starting the Hong Kong Coffee Crawl with Cloud Nine Specialty Coffee in Wan Chai. This coffeeshop was literally a few steps away from our hotel so you can say curiosity got the cat! And it was a nice discovery because the coffee tastes amazing- I had a cappuccino. They roast and grind their own beans. Food was good also. Excited for the next round here!
Then I got to try the FREE coffee from the hotel which called Latina Instant Coffee. Not bad. This is a 3-in-1 sachet, btw.
Moving on to a 7-11 find, Blue Mountain Blend Bottled Coffee. This is different from the famed and expensive Blue Mountain beans, okay? Back to the bottled one, no complaints. In fact, it tastes good but not the strong kind. Just your usual 'chill' coffee. Very handy also since you can bring it anywhere.
And because we're celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, daughter treated us to a special coffee date at The Tiffany Blue Box Cafe in Tsim Sha Tsui. The cafe is an extension part of Tiffany and is not part of the main store. Haha, safe from shopping! We had iced mocha, hot mocha, and cappuccino and paired the drinks with french toast. Coffee at Tiffany's okay but of course, it's a memorable coffee date with the family.
The breakfast set at Maxim's MX is not complete without coffee. I guess this is the closest coffee taste similar to the ones you can get the neighborhood cafes in Hong Kong akin to local milk tea.
Then there's Bakehouse coffee which tastes exciting as their pastries and the famed egg tarts! We got Coconut Twist and Golden Dirty coffee creations.
At long last, I got to try the iconic Blue Bottle Coffee by accident! Hahaha. Actually, I was just walking around Mid-Levels in Central HK when I noticed some people enjoying coffee and sitting on concrete benches along the sidewalk. I went inside to have coffee and was surprised to see the blue bottle logo on the wall. Funny, right? Ordered iced mocha which tastes chocolatey good. PS. My curiosity about Blue Bottle goes a few years back in Tokyo. Sadly, the branches that we went to always has a long queue.
Last on my list is coffee from Tsui Wah located near the departure gate of Hong Kong International Airport. The coffee came with the lunch that we ordered. Not bad.
