Good food is not just delicious, it stays on your memory.
HOHO Sikdang is one of the hidden gems at Ikseon Hanok Village and I wouldn't have known about it had I not tagged along with my friend who's meeting @callmemakeu and he suggested HOHO. Plus points for us also since our hotel is also in the same area.
We arrive early for our 7PM reservation since we want to explore the area first. HOHO Sikdang is in a hanok-style house and with a small courtyard in the middle. It is also located in a literally 'hidden' area so it's really quiet. There's also rooms for private functions here and can accommodate maybe 5-6 pax.
I had the Oil Pasta with Pollack Roe and it was so good! Think perfect al dente noodles with the right amount of pollack roe. Nevermind the oil because that's what holds the dish together. Amazing flavors! During my previous visit to Seoul, I also had a cream pasta dish with pollack roe so I was excited to try the oil version at HOHO and no regrets.
Then there's the Udon with Prawns, and Rice with Grilled Eel that my friends ordered. They both liked it, and Marc a.k.a. @callmemakeu even shared that HOHO Sikdang is one of his favorites in Seoul.
Looking forward to another round at HOHO Sikdang the next time I visit Seoul. So many exciting dishes on the menu. Btw, serving portion is good for sharing especially the pasta.
