Dampa Farmers

Once in a while when we happen to be in Cubao and can't think of a restaurant, we'd head off to Farmers market to buy some seafood (yes, I love going to the market) and then bring it to the "dampa" section where you can choose from several "paluto" restos. We always end up at S-I-S, I don't know why.

Kilawing Tanigue. Hubby and I love this!

Calamares. Another favorite. Daughter loves this so much that we always make sure that to buy some extra for her take-home!

Sinigang na Hipon. A meal won't be complete without soup. Alas, even if it tastes good, they use powdered sinigang mix. Oh wells!

Max's

The restaurant may have been popular because of its "sarap to the bones" fried chicken but there are other yummy dishes as well.

Kare-Kare. Good but not quite. I prefer really tender ox-tripe. But then, this is okay also.

Sinigang na Hipon. I can eat this every day! No need to explain.

Lechon Kawali. Sinful but good. Great paired with the sinigang.
