Pino Resto + Bar Turns 1

Pino Restaurant in Makati City just celebrated its first anniversary and they are now introducing new dishes on their menu. Chef Edward, the force behind the restaurant enticed us with his creatively presented Filipino dishes.

Mini Sisig Tacos. One of the best appetizers I've tasted. I didn't expect that sisig as taco fillings will produce a yummy treat. Best paired with a glass of margarita.

Bagnet Spring Rolls. Wow! Another amazing food creation. The calamansi vinaigrette is also very good as it adds some citrussy- feel to the salty bagnet.

Isol Popcorn. Honestly, I don't like eating "isol" or chicken ass. But when this was served to our table, my curiosity won. Very crispy, tender and flavorful. I love the soy-miso-inasal glaza. Two thumbs up!

Kare-Kareng Bagnet. A lovely twist to the all-time favorite kare-kare and bagnet. Just writing about it makes me salivate! The bagnet tastes freshly made with just the right hint of spices and saltiness. The vegetables and peanut sauce creates the kare-kare twist. This is definitely my favorite at Pino.

Pino Pochero. How is it possible that I already declared the kare-kareng bagnet my favorite then be served with this uber delicious pochero? Oh my, I suddenly miss my mother's cooking. I mean, this is definitely the ratatouille of Pino. The tender beef becomes more flavorful because of the tomato-based broth which brings out added flavors.

Bagnet Ribs Lechon Paksiw. Delish!

Bibingka Galapong with Tsokolate Shot. Another delightful creation. The tsokolate shot is quite good, and sinfully deadly. Guaranteed to make one's sugar level shoot up! Haha.

Chunky Choco Tempura. This tempura dessert is chocolate heaven. Simply add some vanilla ice cream to a spoonful of this delicious choco tempura and you're on your way to 7th heaven. Personally, I prefer to eat just the tempura bar and skip the ice cream. ;)
