Mamak Kopitiam was a bit hard to find especially if you're not that familiar with Glorietta Food Choices. The fastest way to this resto is at the Food Choices entrance near the SM bridgeway on the 3F.
It was lunchtime when we arrived and on a weekend, too but we're able to get a table before the place became full. What's notable about Mamak Kopitiam is their black & white tiles and marble-ish top tables reminiscent of old kopitiams in Malaysia and Singapore.
Here's what we ordered (clockwise): Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken, Hainanese Roasted Pork & Roasted Chicken, Chicken Satay, and Roti Kosong. For drinks, we got Iced Kopi and Iced Teh.
The Nasi Lemak was good! I love how nicely fried the chicken was, and the sambal sauce was also good. Then there's the Hainanese Roasted Pork and Roasted Chicken, another winner. Btw, it also came with a small cup of soup. Moving on to Chicken Satay, it was good since it was marinated in turmeric if I'm not mistaken but it was a bit hard and chewy. But I do love the satay sauce with its freshly-grounded peanuts. PS. For those with peanut allergy, don't order this, okay? The Roti Kosong was also a winner! Even if the sauces seems too watered, it still delivered its required flavors. Thumbs up!
For the drink, the Iced Kopi was a winner! It was full-bodied coffee goodness. As for the teh, get something else.
To sum it up, we're excited to visit Mamak Kopitiam again because they do have an extensive menu. Stay tuned!
