Luxe Valentine At Chef Jessie Restaurants

Still undecided on where to treat your sweetheart on Valentine's Day? I've got the perfect recommendation that will surely make your Valentine's date special- where else but at Chef Jessie Restaurants: Chef Jessie Rockwell Club, Top of the Citi, and 100 Revolving Restaurant.

Chef Jessie Sincioco, who's at the helm of the famous Chef Jessie Group of Restaurants creates a memorable romantic sit down dinner for you and your sweetheart to indulge this Valentine. Allow yourselves to be pampered and feast on delectable dishes by Chef Jessie.

Begin the meal with Organic Garden Salad in Passion Fruit Vinaigrette Dressing followed by Baked Cape Cod Jumbo Scallops in Miso Sauce. Heat up passion with Cream of Roast Red Capsicum Soup with Cheese Crostini then move on to Pan Fried Sea Bass with Goose Liver in White Tomato Jus and Raspberry-Honey Sauce. A spoonful or two of Strawberry Sorbet enhanced with Champagne is a great pair for your intimate conversation with your sweetheart while waiting for the main course. Savor Grilled U.S. Black Angus Tenderloin Steak in Truffle Sauce and Grilled Tiger Prawns in Garlic Hollandaise served with a Timbale of Wild Rice Vegetable Risotto and Sauteed French Beans. Whisper sweet nothings while enjoying a Trio of Supremo Chocolate Mousse, Pistachio Heart Pavlova and Cherry-Cheese Clafouti with coffee or tea and Petit Fours. Of course, the meal won't be complete without a glass of bubbly Moet & Chandon Brut. The sit down dinner is P2,500++ per person at Chef Jessie Rockwell Club, Top of the Citi by Chef Jessie and 100 Revolving Restaurant.

The restaurants also offer a buffet at P2,000+ 10% per person for a more relaxed Valentine evening. The buffet spread includes: freshly baked Chef Jessie's Ciabatta Bread and rolls, salads that includes the exclusive Alugbati Salad with Dulong in Bagoong Vinaigrette Dressing, Tomato Kesong Puti Salad in Pesto Vinaigrette Dressing, Smoked Salmon Caviar Pie with Croutons, Heart of Palm Salad in Tamarind Vinaigrette Dressing, Parma Ham with Melon, Spicy Tuna Salad with Tanuki and Mesclun Greens with a choice of Raspberry Balsamic or Blue Cheese Dressing.

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!

Boracay's Hidden Gem: Mama's Fish House

I've always wanted to dine at Mama's Fish House in Boracay but wasn't able to for some forgotten reasons already. Then the pandemic happened and we're in lockdown or limited travel movement for almost two years. And guess what? One of the nicest thing to happen on our recent trip to Boracay was to discover that Mama's Fish House was located just outside the beach front of our hotel- Microtel by Wyndham Boracay . Talk about serendipity!

NEW RESTO ALERT: Saigosan in Uptown Mall

Konnichiwa Saigosan! A new and funky izakaya recently opened at Uptown Mall headed by Chef Chris Oronce. This izakaya not only serves delectable dishes but is also a visual-feast. Inspired by animes, mangas, and JPop culture, Saigosan even has a train wherein you can hop from Kyoto to Osaka without a JR Pass!
