Red Cherries Cake House

Red Cherries is one of Baguio's best kept secret. Really. I mean, the first time my daughter and I went to Red Cherries, it took us a while to find the place, and we also didn't know that its close during the morning and its time for us to head back to Manila. It took us about a year to be able to go back and luckily, the store's open- yey!

Blueberry Cheesecake. This is something delightful that will make you remember grandma in the kitchen. Nothing fancy in this recipe though.

Lasagna. Quite good! Daughter had two servings of this. Its both meaty and cheese-y. Two thumbs up.

Chocolate Moist Cake with Nuts. Those are peanuts on top. Skip this cake.

Price here is very affordable. However, much patience is required especially if you arrive early and the place is still closed. There are also some days wherein the store is not open. Best time to dine here is between 3-5pm.

And because this is Baguio's best kept secret, I won't mention the location of nor give directions. If you're a certified foodie like me, you'll be able to sniff your way to Red Cherries.

the attitude and ethics of the old lady there is worst than that of a a crone
worst than any person you can think of not to mention she is in the selling business.
She is so proud about her products that she doesnt treat customers right.
For her ,her products are very good and she doent need you because there are
others who crave for her foods and will buy anyway.
She dont smile . she always frown
you want me to emphasize ?
I can tell you only those I remenber, so there are more than this lists.
And to think we gave her a lot of chances to prove her bad behaviour wrong.
    1. ordered 6 pcs of lasagna for take-out then asked for disposable fork. she gave us 6.
When we asked her for 1 extra fork she answered with sarcasm she only give 1 per order.(In our mind what if we dropped 1 )
    2. Ordered for a cake and asked for the 1 at the end of the rectangular cake. She said no with raised eyebrows. she follows her sequence.
    3. My collegues and I. we put those small round tables that are on the walls together, she said dont put them together I cant pass!
she cant pass through walls ? So we all left
    4. Came there alone and found 2 friends there. Ordered for a lasagna then she said there is none. So went to join friends but they told me to ask again
because they just ordered and there's a lot . So 1 of my friends stood up and ask if there's really nothing. Then she answered why will I say there's none if it's still avail
so I left my friends there. My friends told me that after I left she said she has the right to hold her products and only give it to those she wanted to. wow my friends got mad and we never came back
.are we gonna die if we cant eat her lasgna or cakes they are not actually the best. I can also make much more delicious lasagna

    1. Wow, you really had a string of bad experience at Red Cherries. I'm glad that when we went there the old lady was feeling nice and I think she even smiled at us. Let's pray she is back to her sweet disposition the next time we visit. :)

NEW RESTO ALERT: Saigosan in Uptown Mall

Konnichiwa Saigosan! A new and funky izakaya recently opened at Uptown Mall headed by Chef Chris Oronce. This izakaya not only serves delectable dishes but is also a visual-feast. Inspired by animes, mangas, and JPop culture, Saigosan even has a train wherein you can hop from Kyoto to Osaka without a JR Pass!

NEW RESTO ALERT: Hà Nội Phố (Ha Noi Pho)

Makati has been a go-to place for my family and I to grab a meal or sometimes just to have a cup of coffee. Though, really, it’s mostly just us visiting our favorite spots. Recently, my mom went out of town so it was just my dad and I who went out for dinner.

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!
