Chef Vicky Pacheco at The Maya Kitchen

Chef Vicky Pacheco who is the force behind Chateau 1771, Sentro 1771 and Flatiron will share some gastronomic dishes at The Maya Kitchen. The Cooking Demo is on November 5, 2016  from 1-3pm.

She will be preparing Flatiron's Brisket 6, a fork-tender beef brisket slow-cooked for 6 hours and served with sauteed brown and red rice, and a side side dish of cucumber-carrot slaw.


Aside from Brisket 6, Chef Vicky will also demonstrate how to prepare Chicken Piccata, Pizzaiola Pasta, Pomelo Orzo Salad, and Manhattan Seafood Chowder.

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!
