Located in Hakata, Fukuoka, The Full Full Hakata bread shop is a must-visit for foodies visiting Fukuoka, Japan. Although it is a bread shop, it is popularly known for its freshly baked baguette with mentai spread.
The Full Full Hakata is just two blocks away from where I was staying in Hakata but it was only on my second to the last night that I got to visit it. And I went back the following day to get take-aways for my family. Ang sarap kasi!
Imagine biting on a crusty-chewy freshly baked baguette which has a generous spread of mentaiko (fish roe). It was already chilly when I had my first taste of this popular mentai baguette, and the still piping hot bread was a much welcome hug from the cold weather.
The place also have more than several choices of breads and pastries but it was already wiped-out when I arrived in the evening. Only the baguette is available. I had my first baguette with iced coffee and it's good. The coffee pales in comparison to the baguette though, I should've just drank water.
Overall, it was a very memorable dining experience at The Full Full Hakata that I went back again before flying home to buy some for my family. Of course, it doesn't taste as good as when it fresh out of the oven BUT it was still good nonetheless.
