The Manila Hotel is offering A Night of Saga Wagyu & Yamazakura Whisky Pairing on January 16, 2025 at the iconic Champagne Room. The six-course dinner and whisky pairing is a collaboration between Chef Oseki Nobu of The Manila Hotel and whisky sommelier, Mr. Johnsson Li.
Chef Nobu has designed a six-course menu that highlights the delicate flavor of Saga Wagyu, while Mr. Li of Grand Cru Wines & Spirits has chosen a range of Yamazakura Whisky to complement the menu. Menu includes: Saga Tataki with Watercress Ohitashi paired with Kyusiki Cocktail; Thinly Sliced Saga in Beef Consommé with Yamazakura Black Label Sasakawa Whisky; Sesame Tofu in Safa Beef Roll and Yamazakura Pure Malt Whisky; Pan-seared Saga on Mushroom Risotto paired with Yamazakura Single Malt Whisky; Saga Beef with Black Garlic Sauce and Yamazakura Cognac Cask 2023 Edition; Panna Cotta with Plum Wine Jelly, and Saga Beef Jerky in Dark Chocolate paired with Yuzu Sour Cocktail.
