Laduree: Chic Macarons!
Laduree is a famous name when it comes to macarons. It is a luxury bakery that goes all the way back to 1862. However, it rose to fame in 1930 when the grandson of Louis-Ernest Laduree, Monsieur Pierre Desfointaines had the idea of sticking two macaron shells together with a ganache filling in the middle.
