Happiest Hour At UMU

Because we were craving for some Japanese food after our reservation mishap at Midas, we ended up at Umu Japanese Restaurant in Dusit Hotel. Also, we were on a budget since Christmas Season can really put a strain on your pocket. After making reservations at Umu, we were told that we can avail of the Happiest Hour Promo at P950 nett/head. Inclusive of unlimited beer and sake. Wow!

Cafe Mary Grace

It's my first time to have breakfast at Cafe Mary Grace and the food didn't disappoint. Also, I love the table decors and the comfy chairs. So relaxing!

Had two servings of these yummiest cheese roll. Its so light and airy with just the right amount of condense milk to tickle the palate, making you crave for more and more. Hahaha. Diet goes down the drain!

Basil Omelette. Its good but I've tasted other memorable omelette.

An Arabian Lunch at Ziggurat

Lunch With Princess Jasmin Kidding aside, once you enter Ziggurat, you'll be transported in a harem-like setting. You can't find any chairs here so attire should be comfy and be prepared to sit on the floor- with cushions, of course. The restaurant is located near Makati Avenue (Shakey's). I just forgot the name of the street.

Go Greek!

This resto was a foodcourt favorite whenever I happen to pass by Glorietta in Makati. That's like 1-2x a year- ha ha! But still, the resto never fails to fill my empty and discriminating stomach.

Pita with Feta Hummus

I love the pita but the dip was super salty. Epic fail :(

Lamb Gyro

This is heaven on a plate! Lamb was very tender and flavorful. The potatoes and salad complimented the meat perfectly. The serving was also good for sharing. Costs P240 if I'm not mistaken. Not bad :)

Sinfully Circles

I've always love this restaurant (yes, I'm a bit biased when it comes to Circles vs Heat) and maybe because I always have good memories whenever we dine here since daughter was still a wee one. We've already celebrated more than several milestones in this restaurant. I still remember the first time that I dined here, it was sometime in the mid-90's. My friend Benj Garcia invited me for dinner. Alas, I can't remember what I wore but I do remember that we ate really, really huge crabs. Then there's wine. And cherries. But the cherries came from my friend's aunt who just arrived from HK. I miss Benj!

He was my first foodie friend. There was a time when he said he wanted to try RJ's Bulalo near Boni Circle in Mandaluyong. So we scheduled a dinner there and funny lang coz he brought along a bottle of wine to pair with our bulalo. How sosy, di ba? I guess the servers were too awed to collect corkage fee from us. Haha

Cafe Breton

Daughter and I decided to treat hubby at Cafe Breton for his birthday because daughter loves crepe- hahaha. Don't ask me why she chose this restaurant ;) Hubby's brother and our wedding ninong joined us for some crepe and coffee.

Forgot what its called ... but this crepe is quiet good! Has herbs. Bro-in-law's order.

Excalibur. So Arthurian! Our ninong ordered this.

Tarzan. Daughter's favorite. Mine, too! Had two servings of this.

Dracula. My order. Love the name!

Nutella. Hubby order. He loves anything with chocolate. Two orders? Wow!

Mom & Tina's

Finally, after two years of waiting, we got to try dining at this resto only because we happen to be in Makati and this resto was right in front of us. Too tired to walk to Greenbelt. Luckily, our decision turned out good.

Fish and Chips. Daughter enjoyed this immensely. Two thumbs up for the big serving.

Chicken Kebabs. A bit "bitin" according to hubby. But it tasted great so he can't complain much.

Callos - very tasty and tender. A bit salty though but then, I have a low tolerance when it comes to salty food. Highly recommended!

Go Greek

Hubby has to meet a client somewhere in Makati today that daughter and I decided to tag-along since she wants to go to the bookshop and buy a Percy Jackson book guide. We got hungry after the bookshop trip and since we don't usually go to Glorietta, I suggested we eat at Go Greek. I ordered lamb kebabs for myself and she had the chicken. Then we got an extra order of pita bread. Yum!
