Noodles Al Fresco at Neak Pean Temple

As a traveling foodie, I treat every food discovery as memorable because not only to I savor the food, but also the culture and history behind it. But during our recent trip to Siem Reap, I had the most wonderful meal under the trees just outside Neak Pean Temple.

La Mere Poulard

La Mere Poulard is a bistro located right in the heart of SM Aura Premiere. At first glance, it may seem like a posh restaurant especially with its French name but really, the menu is reasonably priced (with a few exceptions) and serving portion is good for sharing.

This is our sixth stop during the food crawl #AweSMFeast #TasteOfAura at SM Aura Premiere.

CBTL Introduces David De Candia's Paradise Blend

As compared to other countries in Asia, the Philippines is not predominantly a tea-drinking country favoring coffee and chocolate over leaves. In fact, only a minority few drinks tea on a regular basis. But that is slowly changing especially since the introduction of tea-cafes and tea products a decade ago. Filipinos may have grown up knowing that there's only black, green, flower (jasmine & chrysanthemum), and Earl Grey but now, there's a whole new world of tea with flavors such as Chili Berry, Pomegranate, Red Chocolate Mint, etc.

My Bowl of Laksa at Nanyang Old Coffee

"There's nothing more comforting than a bowl of piping hot soup especially on a rainy night."

Whoever uttered those words are quite on point! I mean, we all feel good whenever we eat a warm meal but it is much more welcome when the weather is perfect for it. So here I am, while Ompong is hovering near the PAR (a.k.a. typhoon Mangkhut), suddenly find myself craving for a hot bowl of laksa.

AweSMFeast Food Crawl at SM Megamall and SM Aura Premier

I can't seem to remember the last food crawl I attended so when I received an invite to join the AweSMFeast Food Crawl in SM Megamall and SM Aura Premier, I didn't hesitate to say no. Actually, its more like I am excited about the prospect of taking food pictures more than dining itself. Hello my vanishing waistline!

We (with two other bloggers and a writer and photographer team from a daily broadsheet) was joined by SM Mall representatives for the ultimate food crawl in two SM Supermalls and we got to dine at twelve restaurants. OMG! How did you survive? Your guess is good as mine.

Started the food crawl at DC Super Heroes Cafe in Mega Fashion Hall. If you're a fan of superheroes like Batman and Superman and other DC characters (or simply want to eat great tasting noms and take endless photos), then this is the place to be.

SM Market's The Tasting Corner

Hie off to SM Markets because they'll be serving some samples of premium wines and spirits at the Tasting Corner in selected branches of SM Markets. This is the consumers' chance to sample different drinks in its "perfect serve" form.

"Perfect Serve" refers to the manufacturers recommended way of serving their wines and premium spirits. Like for example, do you know that Hennessy VS is best mixed with ginger ale and a slice of lime? Or what about Tequilla? Jose Cuervo actually recommends that the Tequilla be chilled to reach that exact temperature and then taken straight up? Cheers!
