Lunch at Botejyu Market Market

I haven't dined at Botejyu for years! In fact, I can't even remember the last time we dined at this restaurant.

But of course, I love Japanese food so I'm excited to dine at Botejyu Market Market especially when lunch was arranged by HONOR Philippines.

For starters, we had Salad, Tempura, California Maki, and Karaage.

I love that the Salad had romain lettuce and fried wonton strips, as it adds more texture to the salad. Then there's bacon bits, hardboiled egg and cherry tomatoes. Yum!

Next is Prawn Tempura. Perfectly cooked and not oily. Thumbs up! The batter was seasoned already so I didn't bother with the tempura sauce.

I skipped California Maki because there's Karaage, and we just ordered our mains. The Karaage was also wonderful. I have high regards for restaurants that are careful not to serve fried food to the table in its 'oily' state. The chicken was nicely seasoned, too.

Moving on to the mains, I ordered Grilled BBQ Pork Rice Bowl Hokkaido Style. The meat was nicely grilled and savory but it's a bit tough to eat. But it was delicious and we were given knives so, I'm not complaining ... just chewing!

We were quite full already even before the mains was served but a meal doesn't just end without dessert and coffee.

For dessert, we were given Teppan Baked Banana with Vanilla Ice Cream. Another winner at Botejyu and I'm so glad that our lunch ended on a sweet note.

Thank you again to HONOR Philippines for the lunch.
