We were thinking of having coffee while waiting for our turn at ----- . Turns out, my daughter was able to get some office work done and still I'm not done with my errands yet. Anyways, going back to coffee, we got the Pineapple Espresso and Spicy Pork Floss bread.
The coffee cocktail-ish drink tastes good and refreshing. It doesn't hit the right notes upon first sip but the flavors kinda grows on you with every sip. I also find it surprising that pineapple weirdly pairs well with espresso.
As for the bread, I was too hungry to notice how it exactly taste like but it's filling. The bread's a bit expensive at P160-180 if I'm not mistaken. I guess they made it that way to deter those who make 'tambay' sa coffeeshop.
After the errands which I'm sad to report didn't turn out well (wasted about 5 hours for that, ugh!), went to Glorietta but didn't notice that it was almost closing time. Decided to eat at Mushashi Maru, our default Japanese resto whenever we crave for sashimi, sushi etc.
Our current fave at Musashi Maru seems to be the Tuna Karaage and Agedashi Tofu. Of course, I need to have my spicy fix and ordered Spicy Salmon Sashimi and Spicy Crispy Shrimps.
Food at Musashi Maru tastes good and you'll be amazed at how reasonably priced the dishes are. Of course, there are also pricey dishes on the menu if you wanted to splurge a bit. The Iced Coffee is almost a must-try here.
For dessert, we opt for Cafe Breton in nearby Greenbelt since some of the restaurants there closes a bit late than the ones in Glorietta.
Cafe Breton is another family favorite that we've been going to since their opened their first resto in Malate. OMG! That was a long time ago na, and we're not married yet. But even then, my circle of friends are 'foodies!'
My daughter had 'Tarzan' crepe- that's the one with bananas and condensed milk, and hubby & I had Caramel Sundae. As always, Cafe Breton delivered in terms of taste and superb service.
Stay tuned for our next family food adventure!
