NEW RESTO ALERT: Juniper by Josh Boutwood

I haven't dined at a restaurant that I want to go back again the following day and it's not even our first choice.

Our dining experience at Juniper by Josh Boutwood was full of happy surprises. Choosing from the menu was a bit challenging though because everything sounds interesting.


For starters, we got the Tapioca & Cheddar Fritters with Spiced Tomato Sauce and Pecorino Romano. What a mouthful BUT!

I wasn't expecting the tapioca in block form and fried. Don't worry, it has a crunch but not oily. And the spiced tomato sauce was just WOW! 

Then we had Pork Belly with Kale and Roasted Cauliflower, and Mussels in White Wine and Parsley for mains, plus a side order of Fermented Potato Fries and Juniper Rice. 

The pork belly was amazing! Super melt-in-the-mouth goodness that's quite flavorful. I love the crispy kale that comes with it plus the pork crackling (chicharon bits) for added flavor. Must-order dish at Juniper by Josh Boutwood.

The mussels was equally delish and generous serving. It usually comes with a side of bread but at Juniper's, the sourdough was included in the broth. Genius!

Aside from enjoying the delicious meal, serving portions are also good for sharing. We were so full and didn't even finish all of it so yey for take-home.
