I have a fascination with pandas so I was curious about Chowking's recently launched Happy Pao. A piece costs P37. There's a Chowking branch near our place but since we don't go to that area often it took me weeks before I was able to get myself a Happy Pao.

Wan Chai Tea House
Me and my mommy-mates haven't been going out much lately because of our different skeds but when we do have time, we make it a point to bond over food and (sometimes) shopping. ;)
We were sked to go to a different restaurant today but because that resto doesn't serve dimsum, we opted to go to Wan Chai. I'm glad I told J and Ina to choose the resto this time since I wanted to taste something new. Actually, I've seen and passed by Wan Chai for so long that I think it is high time to visit it now--- and I'm glad I did. :)

Monteland's Giant Siopao
One day, when a friend and I had nothing better to do but eat breakfast in Binondo, I remembered another friend recommending this siopao from Monteland. After walking around and looking for Monteland (we thought it's a restaurant), some nice Manangs guided us with directions. It turned out to be a bakeshop. The siopao costs P100 and since it's still early when we got there, I was given a frozen siopao. It costs P100 but 2-4 pax can share it depending of course on one's appetite. I forgot to ask for sauce so I can't comment on that. Taste-wise, I like the giant siopao from Emerald Garden along Roxas Boulevard. I find it more flavorful than the one from Monteland.

*** I already sliced the siopao in half before I remembered that I still haven't taken a picture of it so it looks "butchered" in the photo. Mea Culpa!
