CEBU: Pizzeria Michelangelo

I've heard from my friend that Pizzeria Michelangelo is also owned by the Lhuilliers which also own Michel's Deli + Cafe, among other restaurants. This one though is located just outside Shangri-La in Mactan. The pizzeria has an al fresco area which also has a view of the brick oven. You can see the chef making pizza.

Le Cellier Wine Degustation At Le Cafe Curieux

Le Cafe Curieux is one of the most interesting cafes I've been to in the metropolis. Maybe its the ambiance and the food, and of course, the people behind Le Cafe Curieux.

As its name implies, the cafe has a lot of interesting things to offer. There was a time when they hosted some art exhibits, hosted an album launch, wine pairing, etc.

Reunions With Carlo Rossi Sweet Red

PRESS RELEASE:

Thunderous laughter, sweet tears of joy, an endless weave of stories, and the passage of time become irrelevant as though the earth has temporarily stopped from its tedious orbit around the sun. These are the glorious moments when friends and family suddenly find each other, whether planned or by surprise, in one table sharing precious moments. Reunions, in other words, are priceless. Bestselling author Jerry Spinellie described it better when he wrote in his book Love, Stargirl: “May our reunion be not a finding but a sweet collision of destinies.”

PR: Celebrate With Carlo Rossi

Wine is often associated with celebrations, milestones and happy occasions especially here in our country. Crafted from grapes cultured in California where the sun nurtured the tiny fruits to perfection to assure you of wines bursting with flavor and aroma, Rossi Sweet Red has just the right amount of alcohol content and therefore won’t leave you heavily drunk even after finishing a bottle with friends or love ones.

La Paire Parfaite

The Perfect Pair

A couple of days ago, I and two other bloggers friends were invited by Le Cellier for a gourmet lunch at Aubergine Restaurant in BGC. I've been hearing a lot of great things about Aubergine Restaurant for years now but I still haven't found the time to visit until now, and I have to thank Le Cellier for that.

Aubergine has been around for a decade and if you're familiar with BGC, you'll recall that there's just a handful of buildings in that area during that time. I believe that this is one of the few restaurants in BGC that witnessed the changing scene in the area.

Beaujolais Wine Dinner

"Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things in the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing." - Ernest Hemingway

Soiree Beaujolais 2013

Every 3rd Thursday of November, Soiree Beaujolais is being celebrated in the Beaujolais Region of France with pomp and circumstance. This is to mark the "new" wine from the region. And last November 21, the Manila Hotel Tent City was witness to the French way of merriment that lasted till the wee hours of the morning.

Organized by the French Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, it has upheld the Beaujolais tradition for twenty-two years in the country.

Manila Hotel's Tent City was transformed into the Streets of Paris that includes the iconic Eiffel Tower.

It literally rained wine that night. I mean, everyone had a glass or two or three. ;)

And aside from the merriment, the night also highlighted the French community's support to Typhoon Yolanda's victims by giving the night's proceeds to DSWD ..

Of course, the famous French macarons are included in the dessert. I love the mint flavored macarons! :)

Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2013

Held annually for the past four years in Kowloon, the 5th one which was held this year at the scenic Victoria Harbor has a bigger area to usher in more guests for the event. Wine lovers, connoisseurs or even the newly initiated like me had fun exploring the different wine zones: the Everyday Wine Zone, Party Wine Zone, Discovery Zone, Country Pavilion, Riedel Grand Tasting Pavilion and the A-Lister Zone.

Mr. Rockefeller

Had dinner here with my family, including a cousin and her family. But since it's my cousin who's picking the tab, I let her order for us (bad mistake!). Not that the food didn't taste nice but because she ordered the same meal for all of us. Oh my! So there's not much photos-- hahaha.
