New Dishes at Paradise Dynasty

Paradise Dynasty is synonymous with flavored Xiao Long Baos but they have equally dishes on the menu such as my favorite Spicy Szechuan Crispy Chicken and La Mian with Scallion. And since they opened up their very first branch in S Maison Conrad, the restaurant has continuously surprising its diners with new dishes, and new branches.

Vietnam's Trung Nguyen Coffee

I'm not really a coffee drinker but going to Vietnam won't be complete if I will not have a cup (or two) of Ca Phe Sua Da. Also, the country is home to Trung Nguyen Coffee which is the St****cks of Vietnam.

There's a Trung Nguyen in almost every corner in Ho Chi Minh City. Some branches are coffeeshops while others are just stores where you can buy beans and coffee accessories like the one on the photo, which is used for "drip" coffee.

Lunch at the Nestle Wellness Club

Nestle is a well-loved brand that we all grew up with and I'm pretty sure that we always include an item or two of Nestle products whenever we go to the grocery. At home, we always have Milo and Nestle All Purpose Cream in the pantry. And as a toddler, my mother told me that I ate Cerelac and Gerber so when I became a mother myself, I also fed my daughter with trusted baby food brands.

So when the opportunity to be part of an intimate luncheon at the Nestle Wellness Club came, I didn't think twice about it. I'm also curious about the Wellness Club so it's definitely a go.

Alas, dining out can sometimes create a dent in our pockets but Eatigo, Asia's leading online reservation app gives out great dining discounts up to 50% off on favorite participating restaurants.

Lydia's Lechon: Not Just Lechon Anymore

Lechon has always been a revered Filipino staple on the table whenever there's a celebration. It is also a go-to-dish for everyday meals and since the 1960's, Lydia's Lechon has now 25 stores. "We want our patrons to enjoy lechon daily in different ways," said Louie de Guzman, Lydia's Lechon Marketing Head.

Ilustrado Restaurant Anniversary Degustation

Jose Rizal and the Spanish era are synonymous with the word Ilustrado but for me, what comes to mind is this restaurant in Intramuros, Manila. Coincidentally though, Intramuros was once called the Walled City and is rich in history and glamor of the bygone days when Spain ruled the country. Visiting Intramuros is like a history lesson itself and dining at Ilustrado is the cherry on top.

As Ilustrado Restaurant celebrates its 29th anniversary this October, it brings back the specially curated 8-course Ilustrado Degustation by Chef Bernice Pimentel.

"This year, 2019 marks the third year that we have been doing an anniversary degustation and this year, I am not only bringing forth our culinary heritage to the present but also incorporating much more local ingredients," says Chef Bernice.

Breakfast at Killiney Kopitiam

Our last visit to Kuala Lumpur led us to new restaurant discoveries even if we only stayed for less than 48 hours. But it was fun nonetheless.

We left the hotel early because we wanted to explore KLCC Park but didn't expect that will be hungry before reaching our destination. Luckily, the restaurants inside KLCC are already open so we got to eat breakfast at Killiney Kopitiam. I would have wanted us to try a more rustic kopitiam but we're really hungry and Killiney was the first thing we saw.

Kam's Roast Philippines

Kam's Roast is one of the latest Michelin starred restaurant to open here in the country. It hails from Wan Chai in Hong Kong. And with the Filipinos penchant for good food, its not surprising that the restaurant is always full since it opened its doors last summer.
