We had a short layover in Singapore recently and with enough time to explore Jewel and go to Pop Mart. Then we had lunch with hubby's friend at JUMBO Seafood. He mentioned that it is one of the popular go-to restaurant in SG that serves Singaporean seafood dishes and luckily, it has a branch in Jewel so yey!
We had Crispy Prawn Chins in Salted Egg, Braised Seafood, Salted Egg Prawns and Yang Chow Fried Rice.
Everything was good especially the Crispy Prawn chins (a.k.a. heads!). Very delicate and the salted egg flavor is not overpowering. Quite amusing because the Salted Eggs Prawns on the other hand was served 'headless' 'chin-less!' Hahaha. Not complaining though because super sarap.
The Braised Seafood didn't disappoint also even if there's nothing exceptional about it. Pairing everything with Yang Chow Fried Rice. Goodbye diet!
JUMBO Seafood is indeed a popular restaurant in Jewel. It was full of diners as soon as it opened for the day, around 11:30AM if I'm not mistaken. Lucky for us, we were already at there since we're on a morning flight.
Thumbs up also to the staff for being attentive and to that particular lady who showed me her Have A Seat Labubu collection upon seeing my Pop Mart loot! But that's a different story, not food related. But thank you for making our first JUMBO Seafood experience more memorable.
