All-Day Breakfast At Figaro

It was an unplanned foodcrawl in Quezon City with some bloggers and since I have some free time before I fetch my daughter from school, I happily joined the foodcrawlers. First stop was Figaro along Tomas Morato.

Figaro's one of the most established local coffeshop in Manila and its been around for two decades. Of course, they serve the best coffee (according to my coffee-crazed husband). But Figaro has more to offer than just coffee- they also have pasta, pizza and sandwiches, pastries, and the All-Day Breakfast.

Finding The Right Mix

Life is not as easy as it used to be and we now all find ourselves always trying to catch up with the pace of life. We often find ourselves attempting to balance our career, hobbies, relationships, and aspirations, but how do we know if we have the right mix? Sometimes we feel it in our gut, but other times, it’s our daily regimens that tell us if we have the right mix. If the day starts off smoothly, that’s an instant energy booster for us to get through anything. So, start your day right with Optimo’s 3+3 Coffee Mix.

NEW RESTO ALERT: Grub

A very interesting name for a restaurant. Okay, okay ... I admit that "grub" was not a frequently used word in my world nor my mental dictionary that after my first visit to the resto, I checked Mr. Google and searched the meaning of "grub" which I found out is a slang word that pertains to food. Wow! Thank you, Mr. Online Dictionary. ;)

I also like the "warehouse-vibe" of the restaurant.

Fried Chicken Wings. Crispy and flavorful. The dip is a secret kitchen recipe. Yum!

Moo Melt. This sandwich is love. I love beef and I love cheese. The beef and melted cheese combo on this sandwich is really delicious. You just have to eat it while its still hot and warm to fully appreciate the gooey-ness of the cheese.

The Pig Candy Melt. A bacon-wich! What a brilliant idea to enjoy your bread and cheese. Needs some potato chips on the side, too. And who doesn't like bacon? ;)

The Hot Chicks. Another winner here. I love the spicy chicken with the lettuce. Its like eating bread and chicken salad at the same time. To tell you frankly, I was hesitant to taste this at first since I can't seem to reconcile the idea of chicken pops and bread, but I know that I'll regret it if I didn't have a bite so there. Happy ending. :)

Iced Tea. They home-brew this and serve it in mason jars for single orders which I find cute. Pitcher order comes in a gallon bottle.

Arriba Akiba!

As a first-timer in Akiba Cafe, I really don't know what to expect nor what to drink and what to order. Also, the cafe was celebrating its second year when we visited so it was really full of people availing of the P22 only on all drinks. Wow! Cool, right?

So I told my new foodie friend HOP to just order for me.

Starbucks

We love Starbucks.
We love sipping hot chocolate especially on a cold night.
We love Stabucks Tagaytay because of the cool climate.
We also love Caramel Frap, Coffee Jelly, Peppermint Mocha, Mocha Java, etc.
We also love the bagels, cakes and sandwiches from Starbucks.
