My CPK Story

Years ago, California Pizza Kitchen Shangri-La Plaza (CPK) used to be at the second level of the mall and it has the best location (imho), complete with a separate entrance just in case one happens to crave pizza after 9pm. Most notable was the "bridge" going to the restaurant itself. CPK was not really a part of the original mall layout but was just built later on. I also remember that one can really see the cars passing by if you happen to get a table beside the window. Oh, this was really years and years ago.

My family and friends also spent many numerous meals there (sadly, I don't own a digicam that time) including celebratory moments and special occasions. Then it was daughter's turn at CPK during her toddler and nursery years. Her school happens to be inside the mall so we really get to dine there a lot (she loves pizza, I wonder why?) and even attended some birthday parties there as well as her school's Create-Your-Own-Pizza Day wherein the kids get to don toques and played with pizza toppings.

There was also a time when daughter and I had a playdate with a friend and her two kids plus her tweener. I don't know what went wrong with the kids that day but they all got cranky and cried, including the tweener. We were really surprised (and amused). It was really memorable, the kids are all quite grown up now and I wonder if they still remember that incident. The tweener, by the way, is a popular heartthrob now. ;)

Looking back, I've always treasured those CPK memories and it always brings a smile whenever I think about those times. Hoping to create new ones again. So, what's your CPK story? :)

Spinach Artichoke Dip. This one's my fave except that I prefer it with more artichoke like it used to be years ago. Nonetheless, the colored tortilla chips is still the best!

CONTEST ALERT: CPK's My Pizza Story

California Pizza Kitchen or CPK as it is popularly known is launching a storytelling campaign that will begin on February 24, 2014 (mark your calendars now) and is inviting pizza lovers to share precious moments with you and your CPK pizza. It can be a selfie, a group with family or friends- be creative and get a free treat from CPK.

National Pizza Day

Much awaited pizza event at CPK is back. Time to mark your calendar! ;)
Pizza, Pizza, Pizza

Brooklyn's White Pizza tops my list of current faves. Though I hate to admit that after eating your third slice, your tongue will feel pain due to cheese. But hey, it's still pizza and I'm loving it.
Another fave is CPK White Cheese with Spinach and Bacon. It's yummy but pricey too!
NYPD is another fave and I like it better than CPK ;-)

Fazoli's and Sicilian's pizzas are also okay though you really have to go further than the usual (my usual) route to get there.

I've been dreaming of my own gourmet pizza products soon!

Did I mention daughter loves pizza also? This is our comfort food. I remember feeling sick 2 days ago and hubby and Isabel bought me pizza from Pizza Hut. Its the Cheesy-Bacon thingy which tastes so nice specially if it's really hot. The not-so-secret of its cheesiness is---- Cheesewiz!
