RECIPE: Dory In Mango Cream Sauce

When I cook, I just let my creativity flow- like when I write stories (before). And I make use of whatever ingredients I have in the house. So to cut the long story short, I bought a pack of cream dory from the grocery and then I found some ripe mangoes in the fridge. And the rest is history --- I mean, the food is in our tummies now. ;)

Ingredients:

cream dory, 500g (cut into desired portions)
ripe mangoes, 2 (cube)
ginger, 2 tbsp (slivers)
cream, 1/4 or less
olive oil
ground black pepper
salt
water

RECIPE: Baked Dory Ala-pobre

Feeling healthy today. Prepared baked dory ala-pobre which means-- I'm too lazy use the oven so I improvised and baked (?) it in the pan instead. @-@

cream, 100ml
marble potatoes, 8pcs sliced
celery, 3-5 stalks, sliced
butter, 3-5 pats (or olive oil) (I used butter)

ground pepper
dried oregano
dried basil (best if fresh)
mozzarella, 50g sliced thinly

Angel's Kitchen

I've been hearing about the good reviews about Angel's Kitchen for the longest time and I also know where its located but for some unknown reason, we always end up at the restaurant next door.

So one day, without any plans, my food-buddy and I ended up in this homey place. And I love the interiors!

A Simple and Healthy Meal

Sometimes I get bored with cooking rice and ulam so I make use of whatever it is that's in the fridge and cook it for lunch or dinner. And since daughetr loves fish (according to her, it is because her Zodiac sign is Pisces), we always have some on the freezer.

I've been hearing good reviews about this resto that serves baked Parmesan Crusted Fish but haven't tasted it yet. Then I was able to taste the pan-fried Parmesan Fish of Conti's but I know that baked fish are much healthier than fried fish.

With that in mind, I asked daughter to grate some cheddar cheese while I marinated the fish with kalamansi, butter and some spices. Then its off to the oven for about 20 minutes. I paired the fish with some lettuce, grapes and apple salad with mixed-berry yogurt as dressing.
