Sweet Treats at Pia Y Damaso

There are a lot of dessert choices from cakes, ice cream, chocolates, but most of the time, good ol' Filipino "panghimagas" are still the best. Here are some of the yummylicious dessert offerings of Pia Y Damaso.

Looks can be deceiving. I almost didn't get to taste this because we still have some waffle at home but this Bibingka Waffle is really a "bibingka" waffle. And I love bibingka and Christmas. ;) This bibingka waffle is topped with salted egg and quezo de bola, with jojo jam. It would've been nice if there's some grated coconut to complete the bibingka experience but this is a masterpiece of its own. Thumbs up.

CEBU: Dessert Factory

If there's one restaurant in Cebu that I won't tire of visiting again and again, it would be Dessert Factory in Ayala Mall. It was during our 2007 trip to Cebu when my friend introduced me to this restaurant. And the cake I ate that time was so memorable that I vowed to visit this restaurant if ever I happen to go to Cebu again.

NEW RESTO ALERT: Kebabers SM Manila

I'm a newbie when it comes to Kebabers but daughter reminded me that we've already seen this resto in Katipunan a couple of months back. Hmmm, so that's why the logo and name looks familiar- hehe.

So this time around, Kebabers and I finally met at SM Manila when I joined some friends on a foodtrip date. And you really can't miss this resto because of its colorful and upbeat signage which is just beside the cinema area.

Le Monet Hotel Baguio City

February 1, 2013

After a tiring but fun day at Camp John Hay, the boys played hoops, and us girls including M's youngest son had a nice hike and had fun at the swing, and rode the horses ...

Ghirardelli Chocolate Cake

From S&R. It was love at first bite. A 6-inch cake costs only P250.00. Not bad! And it's so chocolatey :)

Christmas Village Cake

The Christmas Village Cake was made by Chef Raffy of the Shangri-La Hotel Makati. He and his team of three others finished the cake in 3 hours. Wow!

Under the blanket of snow was white fondant, dark chocolate, and moist rich chocolate cake. The yule log in front was made of vanilla chiffon (not that memorable), then Gingerbread house and Santa cookies. The trees are made of colored-chocolates with french macaroons - yum yum.

Carla & Elaine's

This cakeshop is a bit hard to find, not unless you always pass by P. Guevara or will drop by at Santi's Wilson because it is housed in the same building. It was a mom-friend from school who told me about it but she can't really explain well its location since someone just give her cakes bought from Carla & Elaine's.

It took me several months before I was able to visit the cakeshop, thanks to my "fish cracker" craving. But the long wait didn't disappoint.

Chocolate Almond Torte

I love its chewiness especially when its just out of the fridge. The cake itself is not that sweet but the filling is- for sweet lovers!
