NEW RESTO ALERT: Giuseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast

I love discovering new restaurants, moreso if it's a newly opened one. And Giuseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast is just that.

Guiseppe's is a popular restaurant in Bohol and Cebu, and has just opened a branch in Boracay.

We got to visit Giuseppe's because my cousin told me about it and it opened the day we arrived in Boracay. Visited the following day because we wanted to have coffee and just to check out the resto but we ended up ordering pizza and carpaccio plus our coffee. Haha, nice combo!

The resto has lovely interiors and this is perfect for special date-nights or celebrations or just simply because you want to eat great food.

Aside from the menu, Guiseppe has daily/weekly specials.

OMG! Giuseppe's Pizza Margherita was so good I don't think I'll find a similar one that tastes like this here in the city. You can choose between thin or thick crust but when asked for suggestion, the staff said go for the thin crust. So yummy good! Good for 2-3 pax especially if you are ordering other food such as pasta or salad or even mains.

The Carpaccio di Pesce con Agrami was on the board menu so this is not a regular offering. It has tuna and I forgot the name of the other fish. Don't let the appearance fool you because we weren't able to fish this off. Or maybe it was just an afterthought order after pizza and then there's the free bread, hehe. So we took what's left to our hotel and kept it in the fridge and ate it as midnight snack! I like it better when its cold. Too bad we don't have wine or the midnight snack would've been perfect.

This carpaccio has that perfect blend of sea and fruits which is kinda hard to describe but sublime comes to mind. Compliments to the chef!

And here's our coffee orders: Iced Vanilla Caramel Latte and Caffe Corretto. A bit amusing since we were just planning to have coffee but I can't resist pizza and the carpaccio is love! So we literally coffee crawled from Station 1 to Station 3 for coffee.

The Iced Vanilla Caramel Latte is a perfect afternoon drink especially for one who've been out in the sun the whole morning. It will give you that extra energy boost.

As for the Caffe Corretto which my daughter ordered, this cocktail drink is best paired with the carpaccio de pesce and not the pizza, hahaha! This is espresso with a shot of gin.

Giuseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast is located in Station 3. We're staying at the far end of Station 1 in Punta Rosa Boutique Hotel so it was like end to end but the dining experience was worth the distance.

NEW RESTO ALERT: Hà Nội Phố (Ha Noi Pho)

Makati has been a go-to place for my family and I to grab a meal or sometimes just to have a cup of coffee. Though, really, it’s mostly just us visiting our favorite spots. Recently, my mom went out of town so it was just my dad and I who went out for dinner.

Salcedo Market x Legaspi Market Tour

We haven't visited the weekend markets for years so I was giddy with excitement because I was able to visit both Salcedo and Legaspi markets this month, thanks to our Dusit Thani Manila staycation . To differentiate the two, Salcedo market  is held every Saturday at the Jaime Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village Makati while Legaspi market is held every Sunday at the Corinthian Carpark in Legaspi Village Makati. Since we were coming from Dusit Thani Manila, it was quite a long walk but it was early in the morning (around 8AM) and even Ayala and Makati Avenues were still without cars. Wow!
