Post-Christmas Baguio Foodtrip

I love unplanned trips because there's happiness in discovering not only a lot of interesting places but food and restaurant as well.

Our first stop was in Baguio. We arrived there around 9pm of December 27 and was lucky enough to secure a table at O' Mai Khan along Session Road (near Narda's). The restaurant was quite full and a bit hard to go there because of the traffic.

The kids had chicken barbeque. Didn't get to taste this though because I've had my fill of chicken already and I might grow wings anytime soon. But based on the kids happy faces, I guess the chicken barbeque rocks!

Charlie Wanton Special

Hubby and I have been running around town the whole day today so come dinner time, my energy failed me in the kitchen and I still have to feed hubby and daughter.

Luckily, our house is just walking distance from these fastfood restos --- Shakey's, Jollibee, KFC and Chowking. Then there's also Aling Banang's (tapsilogan), Hosena's (bulalo et al), several lechon manok stalls, numerous carinderias, and Hypermart (lots of food stalls that includes a Mang Inasal branch). But we decided to walk farther (free exercise) until we reached Charlie's.

Emerald Garden Restaurant

When we feel like having breakfast after dropping off the kids to school, this is one of our default breakfast place- the other one is Wai-Ying in Benavidez Street near Ongpin. And because today is a special day (we're off to raid DFS), we need some heavy breakfast for some extra energy. :P

There's only 3 of us today, that's me, C and J. And because there's also the need to lose some pounds before the December parties begin, we agreed to share an order of jumbo siopao (2 thumbs up!), fish congee (I like the one from Wai-Ying), and Beef Mami (thumbs up!).
