Pinoy Breakfast Favorites at Mario's

Mario's Restaurant has been around for decades and it is always synonymous with steaks and the famous Mario's Ceasar Salad. And now, the restaurant is offering Pinoy breakfast favorites such as Beef Tapa (my all-time fave), Boneless or Tinapang Bangus, Crispy Danggit, Paksiw na Bangus, all of which are served with garlic fried rice (yum!) and two eggs cooked according to your preference.

Cherry Shaw Is Now Open

Cherry Shaw's reopening has been nostalgic for me. I grew up near the area and this grocery is quite memorable as I've spent countless trips here with my parents. My happiness then was filling the cart with cookies, chocolates, and other goodies that attracted me as a child, whereas my mother tried to quickly put it back on the shelf when I'm not looking. And when my daughter Isabel was old enough to accompany me in my grocery trips, I actually did the same routine of removing some items from the cart- hahaha. Me and my cousins also spent numerous grocery shopping dates at Cherry Foodarama, then having some quick snack there. I also remember the "castanas" stall because my father always asked me to buy him a kilo or two.

Mamitas Restaurant in Boracay

My first dinner in Boracay was at Mamitas along the beach front of Station 2. I find it amusing though because one of our fave restos in Baguio City is also called Mamitas. This is a different Mamitas though.

Happy Tummy at Go-En Ramen

My friends and I have seen Go-En Ramen about a year ago and promised to check it out soon. That "soon" however almost didn't push thru because we all live at the other end of the town. Luckily, there's such a thing as serendipity and I got invited to attend the ramen tasting at Go-En.
