CEBU: La Marea's Famous Warm Brownie Cup

What is this gargantuan octopus doing inside a restaurant? This is what came to mind when I saw this inside La Marea. But then again, I suddenly remembered that "marea" roughly means the sea, or water. So that sort of answer my question- hehe.

On March 28, 2015, renowned Italian Chef Luciano Paolo Nesi shares only the best of an Italian kitchen at a cooking demonstration at The Maya Kitchen.

RECIPE: TKG's Chicken Medley

Sometimes, I do get creative in the kitchen especially if there are leftovers. In this case, we still have about half fried chicken from Original Savory (we usually order here whenever we wanted a quick fried chicken fix). So I checked the pantry and found some cans of Jolly Whole Mushrooms, Jolly Whole Corn Kernels, and Jolly Cream of Mushroom, and turnip slices in the fridge. Lucky!

Dinner At Korean Palace

Hubby's been craving for some authentic Korean food so we found ourselves going to Malate, Manila to satisfy his tummy. His current favorite Korean resto is Korean Palace.

Like all other Korean restaurants, ban chan (side dishes) is served as soon as the customer sat down. We were given eight choices (pickled ampalaya, sayote, potato, beansprouts, radish kimchi, baguio beans, spicy dilis, and cabbage kimchi). I particularly liked the spicy dilis and ampalaya.

RECIPE: TKG's Chicken Sibut

Chicken Sibut is a chicken dish cooked in spices for a long period of time until the meat absorbs the flavor and becomes so tender that it falls off the bone. It is also a Chinese medicinal dish that is not only nourishing but promotes good health as well. Traditionally, I think this is better cooked in a claypot. Below is an easy to follow recipe that I made recently.
