RECIPE: Detox Green Smoothie by The Sexy Chef

This is a surprisingly good (and green) smoothie made by Chef Barni and Ms. Rachel Alejandro during the Wellness Cooking Demo at the Robinsons Supermarket, Robinsons Magnolia.

I was having doubts when I saw Chef Barni added kangkong leaves but a foodie is a foodie so I had a sip, and another sip ... until I asked for another glass. No kidding.



Bellysima Food Fair: Up Close and Personal

I always enjoy going to food fairs because this is where I discover new food vendors and yummy food finds. So last week, my daughter and I met up with some cousins at Glorietta 5 to check out Bellysima Food Fair. Bellysima is under the Mercato Centrale group. However, some will rejoice because Bellysima only runs during mall hours and its inside the mall, too so its much more convenient to shop.

Here are my food finds --


Chicharon from Apag Marangle. I have an aversion to dark-colored chicharon because I always thought its "malansa" but this chicharon from Apag Marangle changed my mind. I was thinking of using the chicharon for our favorite monggo dish but fell in love upon first bite. Now I only have a few pieces left (I don't even want to share- haha). Btw, it doesn't seem taste like its coated with fat when I eat it straight from the chiller. Yes, I hid the chicharon in the chiller. ;) Glad that Friday and Saturday are Bellysima days!

This is a super easy to make recipe. All you need is half kilo of chicken (cut into small pieces for easy frying), Datu Puti's Toyomansi, and lemon (optional).

Gardenia Factory Tour

Last May 29, I joined the Gardenia Factory Tour organized by the Mommy Bloggers of the Philippines (MBP). It was a fun-filled event for us- mommies and kids.

Actually, I am excited to visit the bread factory because I've just finished watching the KDrama- The King of Baking; and I love bread and is a frustrated home-baker so going to a bread factory is a dream come true.


Pocari Sweat Keeps You Hydrated

Summer months may be over but it is still hot due to El Nino phenomenon which the weather bureau says might stretch up to December. Drinking eight glasses of water may not be enough to keep us hydrated so Pocari Sweat comes to the rescue.
